So you think you've got it bad? Look, I'm sorry you had to walk 3/4 of a mile home from school with a backpack and it was cloudy. That must have been tough. I suppose you will need a couple of days to recover from that harrowing ordeal.Suck it up and be happy you're not living in China where kids have to cross raging death rivers on a skinny cord to get to school.

Where was this picture when Hannah and Hilary were begging for rides to Dimond??
"Must...get...eductaion...to...escape...male...dominated...communist...regime..."
Hey it's either that or work 14 hours a day in the Nike/DKNY sweat shop. I think I'd choose to brave the river too.
I guess my screen's not wide enough. That quote is supposed to say, "..to escape male dominated communist regime."
some of the hunmor is lost when you have to retype it. dang.
I was wondering about your train of thought. I guess I can see how an education can help you to escape male.....
LOL!! Cheryl, you're too funny.
Perhaps the older female Chinese generations would say that they SWAM the river, with their feet bound and were beaten the rest of the way to school by their 40 year old husbands.
Ray your comment was funny .. but yes you lost your hunmor .. whatever that is....
Well on the flipside, your children could be mowed down by an unlicensed lady in a Ford Bronco.
Sorry, but on the last day of school a 12 year old girl was run over. She was clearly in the crosswalk and on a bicycle. The unlicensed lady has never tried to get license according to the DMV. The 12 year old was biking to and from school, b/c the parents didn't have a car. She used to walk the mile to school and home, but convinced her parents to let her ride her bike. It really is a sad story and although I used to walk to school with my sister. I would never let my future kids walk or bike to school without an adult.
